Librarian of the Month
July 2022 Librarian of the Month
Every month ByWater Solutions recognizes a librarian that has made an impact on their library and community. We are happy to announce the July 2022 Librarian of the Month is Amanda L. Goodman, Head of User Experience and Technology at the Darien Library in Connecticut.
Amanda was nominated by Sam Passey, Director of the Uintah County Public Library, who commented:
In a short time Amanda has joined the Aspen Discovery community, constantly shared code improvements, and offered guidance to those of us who are less code-inclined. She's really demonstrated the spirit of open source and librarianship. She's troubleshooted issues for me from afar and proven herself to be a wonderful Librarian.
As an aside, it is a huge compliment to Bywater Solutions to have Darien Library as a client. For many years their SOPAC set the gold standard for Library catalogs. To have them join the Aspen Discovery group feels awesome.
Thank you, Amanda, for all you do! And Congratulations!
Do you have a staff member at your branch that you would like to nominate for ByWater's Librarian of the Month? We love to feature library staff members that are impacting their patrons, are valued members of the library team, and who go the extra mile in the open source and library community. Email us and let us know who they are, brag about all their accomplishments and we'll share it!
